This collection contains Wheeler family correspondence, family genealogy, and Crittenden County (Kentucky) histories. It also contains information on county schools and churches, agriculture brochures and literature, insurance policies, newspaper clippings, receipts, and certificates. Various legal documents including wills, mortgages, and tax returns are also in the collection. The information on the history of Crittenden County is more concerned with folk legends and myths, superstitions, and stories than that of land grants and deeds, vital statistics, military events, or county businesses.
